The 220kV/56.5MVA large-scale energy-saving coil core traction transformer jointly developed by Changzhou Pacific Power Equipment Group, School of Electrical Engineering of Southwest Jiaotong University and China Railway Engineering Design Consulting Group Co., Ltd. successfully passed the technical review hosted by China Railway Corporation. It is unanimously concluded that the key technologies for the development of high-voltage, high-capacity energy-saving coil core traction transformers have reached the international leading level.
Rail transit traction transformer is a special-purpose power transformer. It is one of the most critical equipments for electrified railway engineering and is known as the "heart" of electrified railways. In the late 1990s, Japan, Sweden and other countries developed three-dimensional coil core transformers with high efficiency, energy saving and environmental protection. Since 2003, China has gradually popularized three-dimensional coil core transformers, especially in transmission and distribution systems, and can mass-produce coil core transformers below 35kV. However, the research on the 110-220kV class three-dimensional coil core transformer commonly used on railways is still in the blank in the world.
“We have done a special study on the energy-saving and intelligent technology of large-scale rail transit traction transformers.” Gao Xiaodong, chairman of Changzhou Pacific Power Equipment Group, introduced that in 2015, the project was supported by China Railway Corporation, Changzhou Pacific. The Power Equipment Group, the School of Electrical Engineering of Southwest Jiaotong University and China Railway Engineering Design Consulting Group Co., Ltd. jointly developed successfully. 220kV/56.5MVA ultra-low loss, large capacity, energy saving and environmental protection intelligent volume core rail transit traction transformer, using intelligent manufacturing technology to solve the high voltage grade coil core traction transformer production process, core winding, core annealing, transformer assembly movement Such problems, the no-load loss is reduced by 50%, the noise is reduced by 20dB, and the cost is reduced by 15%. At the same time, by integrating the sensor monitoring equipment on the transformer, the early warning analysis model and the empirical knowledge base are established, and the intelligent early warning analysis of the whole process of the transformer operation is realized for the first time in the railway traction power supply field, so that the failure rate of the railway special transformer is greatly reduced.
It is understood that Changzhou Pacific Power Equipment Group is the only unit that has mastered the design and manufacturing technology of 220kV grade coil core transformer and the only independent research and development and production and processing equipment. According to Gao Qidong, according to estimates, China's railways can save 840 million kWh (degrees) of electricity every year if they use coiled iron traction transformers. This alone can save nearly 1 billion yuan in electricity costs. After the relevant technology is matured, if it is extended to the AT transformer and the power transformer, it can save more than 1 billion kWh of electricity every year, saving 800 million yuan in electricity consumption.
